This position exists to serve as the SEO Team Lead (managing 2 to 3 SEO Specialists) and primary Account Manager for our SEO clients. It requires:
- 7+ years of experience in SEO is required.
- Advanced/Fluent English is required.
- Experience working and communicating with American clients is required.
- Comfort with a high level of face time with clients via remote video meetings is required.
- Detailed and accurate time tracking is required.

Job Responsibilities
Primary SEO Account Manager
- Play the leading role in the crafting and implementation of search engine optimization (SEO) strategies that are tailored to each client’s goals.
- Embrace and apply the company’s unique SEO approach while actively contributing to its continuous improvement.
- Develop strong relationships with clients, ensuring that they grow to trust you for your reliability and high level of expertise.
Respond promptly to client questions and maintain regular communication to strengthen relationships and ensure that we’re always on the same page.
- Act as a client advocate, consistently putting yourself in their shoes and making suggestions to the SEO team about how we can do even better for each client
- Confidently lead client conference calls. Make them feel open to asking questions. Break down complex topics in a way that they can easily understand.
- Document key points discussed in each call, identify action items, and follow up quickly to keep momentum strong.
- Delegate tasks to the team’s SEO Specialists as needed. Review their work, enhance it, and deliver it on time to the clients.
- Ensure that the strategies produced by the SEO team are executed upon without delay. Proactively suggest creative solutions to any potential roadblocks that could delay implementation.
Senior SEO Strategist & Team Lead
This role is a hybrid of hands-on execution and team coordination. While you’ll actively contribute to client work yourself, you’ll also delegate portions of it to our SEO Specialists. Though collaboration is encouraged, you are the primary owner of each project and ultimately responsible for its success. You’ll be both executing and overseeing tasks such as:
- Keyword research, build lists of targeted key phrases, and assign key phrases to pages and articles. Revise keyword research after client reviews to ensure that all terms reflect the objective of their business & target audiences.
- Identifying areas for on-site improvements in site structure, internal linking, and information architecture. Craft content strategies accordingly.
- Proofreading content for keyword optimization per our guidelines
- Applying on-page optimization by uploading new content and filling out page titles, meta descriptions, image alt tags, etc. (or following up with the client to ensure that they do so)
- Tracking the progress of implementation of content plans, including the production of blog articles, generation of new website copy, and re-optimization of existing website copy
- Performing in-depth technical audits, monitoring of SEO technical health, troubleshooting technical issues, implementing technical improvements and/or coordinating with client developers to do so
- Constantly monitor traffic on client accounts, analyze any unusual patterns, and provide theories on potential causes.
- Generate reporting dashboards using Looker Studio. Add written commentary, in client-friendly language, regarding changes in SEO traffic and visibility. Analyze the results by providing well-researched theories for changes. Highlight what’s working, what’s not working, and data-driven theories for each. Provide recommendations for doing more of what’s working and addressing what’s not.
- Present the reports to the clients on regularly scheduled calls (typically monthly). Walk them through the report in a way they can easily understand. Translate the data into a well-told story that resonates with the client.
Skills Requirements for all positions:
- MUST be comfortable with and capable of detailed and accurate time tracking
- Basic understanding of HTML and JavaScript (enough to be able to look for elements in source code such as Schema markup)
- Intermediate level working knowledge of Excel (can write formulas, create graphs, apply filters, etc.)
- Ability to use data to figure out provable reasons for changes in performance
- Knowledge of the WordPress CMS (basic working knowledge required, advanced knowledge of theme structure and code a plus)
- Intermediate working knowledge of Google Analytics (certification a plus), including the ability to effectively create and use Explorations in GA4
- Tech-savvy and able to learn new software and technologies quickly. Adept at using Google Apps (Drive, Docs, etc.).
